Brand know-how
Defrost faults, drifting sensors and tired fan motors are the bread and butter of Hisense repair. We carry the parts, find the cause and fix it at your home, usually in one visit. We repair every major brand, including Samsung, LG, Defy, Bosch and Hisense, with same-day call-outs across Johannesburg, Fourways, Kempton Park and the wider Gauteng metro.
Straight to it
Hisense fridges are honest machines, and their failure patterns are well known to any technician who works on them regularly. The calls we get most often:
About the brand
Hisense has grown into one of the biggest sellers of fridges in South Africa by doing one thing well: solid, frost-free refrigeration at a price families can afford. The range centres on bottom-freezer and top-freezer combis, value double-door units, compact bar fridges and, more recently, larger side-by-side and multi-door models with electronic temperature control and water dispensers.
From a repair perspective, that value engineering matters. Most Hisense models use proven, conventional refrigeration layouts, a single evaporator, mechanical or simple electronic controls, standard compressors. That's good news for owners: faults tend to be mechanical or sensor-related rather than expensive board failures, and the economics of repairing a Hisense almost always work in your favour. We're an independent repair service, not affiliated with or endorsed by Hisense, which means our only loyalty is to getting your fridge running for the least money.
Parts & practicalities
For the volume sellers, yes. Sensors, defrost components, fan motors, relays and door seals for popular series are widely available, and we stock the fast movers on our vans. Display boards and parts for newer multi-door models sometimes need to be ordered, typically a few working days, and we'll quote the lead time honestly before you commit.
Both have their place. Sensors and control boards should be genuine or OEM-equivalent to spec. For commodity items like universal fan motors, relays and gaskets, quality aftermarket parts perform identically at a lower price, we'll give you the choice where it exists.
Model variation across years. Hisense revises internals frequently, so two fridges with near-identical model numbers can use different sensors or defrost parts. Our technicians work from the serial plate and physical inspection, not assumptions, that's what 15+ years on the tools teaches you.
Usually, emphatically yes. Because most faults are sensors, fans, relays and seals rather than compressors or boards, the typical Hisense repair costs a small fraction of replacement. If the unit is genuinely beyond economic repair, we'll tell you straight.
